Love this place!!! We go here at least once a week... either for lunch or dinner! Margaritas hit the spot and the food is delicious!!! Service is always on point. Wonderful family owned establishment!
Order was three trompo taco on corn, rice and beans. 3 Dos Equis. Chips and salsa. No cold glass offered, service a bit slow. Total with tax $27.06. Taco's were good.
Best Mexican food in Texas, maybe even on the planet! Try the lunch menu. I got the #3 and it was fabuloso! I'm going to start eating here every week from now on.
Food was fresh and delicious, the tequila jarrito highly recommend and the parrilla is perfect served with chicken beef and shrimp
We love this place. They have great fajitas and the jalapeño poppers are good too! We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed.
New name: Taqueria Chili Gordos. (At some point, the name may be changed on Yelp.) A full face lift means no more quaint booths and the historical portraits and artifacts are gone. You may miss them as much as we did. Yes, I miss Emilio Zapata & Frida. (Maybe after all the painting, they'll be on the walls.) It's a much brighter place now and the music pops. Service was prompt: we were greeted quickly and we chose where to sit. We got chips and salsa. We asked for water and ordered sodas. (Dry January, so no drinks tonight.) We ordered quesadillas but I needed my regular shrimp and fish. Truthfully, the food was as tasty as it's always been! The tortillas were great and the rice, refried beans and pico de gallo with avocado were fresh and delicious. We were very pleased. No dessert tonight. We'll be back to support our good ol' restaurant. Good luck to the new owners .
Great atmosphere and service. The rice was really good and my plate in general was tasty!
